Squires Circle 5069 Receives Charter!

In a ceremony held during the 11am Sunday Mass, 29 October 2006, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia, the Frank J. Parater Circle #5069 received its Charter.  The Circle's Father Prior, Father James Kauffmann, who is the pastor of St. Benedict's, invited the Chief Counselor, Ruppert Beirne, to make a few remarks directly after the homily.  After a stirring speech by Mr. Beirne, he called to the altar the sponsoring Council's Grand Knight, Mike Purello, and the Virginia State Columbian Squires Chairman, Jason A Seiler.  Following this, Mr. Beirne called forth the 13 Squires, 10 charter members and 3 newly invested, to receive their certificates and be recognized by the entire congregation as young leaders, the hope of tomorrow.  Mr. Seiler had the honor of presenting Fr. Kauffmann with the official Charter for the new Circle.  To add to the dignity of the ceremony, a 4th Degree honor guard was provided.  Circle #5069 is proudly sponsored by William J. Nolte Council, #11533.
