KOVAR Week
April 20 to April 23, 2006

This year's KOVAR (Knights of Virginia Assistance for the Retarded) campaign was a great success, due to all the hard work and effort of our dedicated Council volunteers and family members!  Our goal as set by the VA State Council was $2,052.  For Gold-level award, we would have to raise $2,360.  Bob Strzelecki (seen here below), a first-time KOVAR Chairman, was unsure that we would make our goal.  Ready for the news?!

Bob Strzelecki

The 2006 total to-date is $2428.69!

This means that we have now won the
KOVAR Gold Award
EACH YEAR of our Council's History!

This could not have been accomplished without the assistance of many, many Knights and their families.

Below, we have some images of these Knights, and their families, collecting donations for God's Special People.  We hope you enjoy them.

Thank you all for doing such a terrific job and volunteering your time to such a worthy cause. The money collected will go to aid organizations in the Commonwealth of Virginia that support the mentally retarded. Thanks again for a job well done.  For a list of where the collected funds go, click here: http://www.kovarva.com/
